I purchased this orange/red vase from Mr. David Collins who acquired it directly from Elvis’ cousin Ms. Donna Presley in 1999. This vase was in Elvis’ upstairs office at Graceland next to his bedroom. The vase measures 3.5 x 6 inches with clear glass handle and in excellent condition.
This piece is dated from the mid 1970’s when Elvis’ then girlfriend, Ms. Linda Thompson decided to redecorate Graceland in reds, oranges and yellows. Since reverted back by EPE to the earlier white motif.
A interesting piece of footage shows this set(minus this vase) as referred to by Ms. Donna Presley in her original hand written letter:
“The orange glass vase set is the upstairs conference room of Elvis’ bedroom at Graceland and was a gift from Donna Presley Early to David Collins.” Poorly written, but you get the basic idea. Ms. Presley’s maiden name is Early.
The link that shows this footage is found on You Tube.

On the second episode of our new web series, Gates of Graceland, follow host Tom Brown and Graceland’s Director of Archives, Angie Marchese, as we explore “hidden Graceland.” Learn more about Elvis Presley and Graceland in this fascinating look at the king’s castle. We’ll show you Graceland secrets you never knew existed.
Mr. Collins letter reads as Elvis Presley’s owned and used red vase. I purchased this vase directly from Elvis’ family in 1999. The vase was upstairs in Elvis’ office that sits next to his bedroom. Included is the original letter from Elvis’ cousin, Presley. As we know all of men are colored blind, thus the reference to red, in fact that is how I see it.
Please see scans of letters and feel free to contact both Ms. Donna Presley and Mr. David Collins which can be found in the body of thier letters.
Buyer pays for shipping, handling and insurance. Once Elvis leaves the building it is the responsibility of the buyer. If you would like to select shipping via other services with tracking # please request and I will calculate final total.
