Product Description
Elvis Presley original framed brass star stud and blue round stone/casing with “Aloha” belt buckle from his cape and belt 1973.
Six (6) studs/stones were removed from Elvis Presley’s cape back in 1995 at the Las Vegas Hilton. They were removed from the cape that was located in the main lobby in a glass-encased display.
The basic design of the case lend itself so you could remove the studs/stones with little effort using a pen. This blue round stone and brass star represents the two (2) of the six (6) that were removed. This piece is accompanied with photos of the jumpsuit/cape display and shows where the studs/stones were removed.
The studs from the cape are from the second cape made for the jumpsuit as Elvis threw the original one in the audience at the end of his concert January 14, 1973.
The “Aloha” belt bucket was purchased from Mr. Nado Yupiion who received it from Elvis backstage in his dressing room in 1973 at the Las Vegas Hilton. Mr. Yupiion delivered some guns that Elvis ordered from his gun and ammo shop.
Elvis ask if he could design a rifle with the American Eagle similar to the one on his belt. Mr. Yupiion ask Elvis if he could sketch out the design. Elvis ask a member from his group to retrieve the belt and when it was delivered Elvis had him cut the buckle that was attached to the belt with fish wire and handed it to Mr. Yppiion.
Mr. Yupiion never finished the project for Elvis since there was a dispute on the previous invoice and Elvis’ father Mr. Vernon Presley created a major uproar about it. Mr. Yupiion has been in possession of this belt buckle since that time.
A photo is included of the unfinished riffle.
The color photo of Elvis was taken at the January 14, 1973 “Aloha From Hawaii” concert. Framed in black lacquer over wood in glass with facsimile signature in red in the right hand corner.
Frame measures 18 x 21 inches and is double matted in a deep frame.
The plaque reads :
“Elvis Presley Eagle Buckle and Studs from His Aloha From Hawaii Jumpsuit circa 1973. ”
